Vandals of Bloomingdale Citizen Patrol Cars Sought

The sheriff's office is seeking the public's help in identifying whoever damaged three cars.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is seeking information leading to the identity of suspects responsible for vandalizing Citizen Patrol cars parked the the Bloomingdale Community Substation on Erindale Drive.

According to a sheriff's reports, vandals targetted three Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Citizen Patrol vehicles between Friday, May 27, at 10 p.m. and Saturday, May 28, at 7 a.m. 

The vandals  used bricks, chunks of asphalt and a metal pipe to shatter windshields, windows and tail lights on the cars, rendering the cars undrivable. Damage is estimated at $6,000.

Damage was also done to nearby signs belonging to Roberts Auto Shop and Porter Paints.

Anyone with any information about the vandalism is asked to call the
Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 813-247-8200 or anyone with any
information regarding the identity and whereabouts of the vandals and who
wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at
1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report anonymously online at www.crimestopperstb.com or
text "CSTB plus your tip" to C-R-I-M-E-S (274637).
