Every Thursday night my sister and I go to tumbling in Apollo Beach. My sisters best friend, 15yo comes with her family-- mom, older sister, 17?, and this Thursday... her visiting cousin 9. My sisters friend left about 8:45pm and we ended up leaving well after nine. On our way home my sister receives a call from her very emotionally stricken best friend crying so much my sister couldn't make out what she was saying... so she put her on speaker and we barely caught a few words like "we were turning" and "guy on a bike". So my first thought was maybe they hit someone or it was a motor-bike* accident (which scared me cause my boyfriend rides a bike*). So come to find out my sister finally talked to her friend when she had calmed down a bit and the vehicle driven by her mom was the first car stopped at the left turning lane on 301 southbound. So they literally seen the accident happen right in front of them, and according to the friend when the truck hit the bicyclist the bike was thrown right in front of their vehicle, and 14yo Morris Taylor was disfigured. This is extremely sad to me because not only did a 14yo boy die horrifically, but also his 15yo friend had to see it and barely escape AND my sisters friend and her sister (who were around the same age as the boys) had front row seats to this horrific scene AS WELL AS their nine year old cousin visiting. My prayers go out to Morris Taylor and Elijah Anderson and their families as well as my sisters friend and her family.

I wish the article had reported that a CPR trained Angel stopped to render aid and was then assisted by at least 2 others in their fight to save this child. Tho they were not able to keep him alive, they were by his side as he passed. It's always important to note when strangers step up in these kinds of emergencies.
