Teacher From Riverview Had Sexual Relationship With Boy, 12, Deputies Say

Ethel Anderson, 29, a teacher at Mango Elementary School, is alleged to have had oral sex with the boy, who was not one of her students, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office reports.

A female teacher from Riverview is charged with having a sexual relationship with a 12-year-old boy who is not her student.

Ethel Anderson, 29, a fifth-grade teacher at Mango Elementary School in Seffner, "willingly and knowingly engaged the victim in oral sex and inappropriate touching while at her residence" several times starting in December of 2011, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office reports in a media release.

Anderson was taken into custody around midnight on Feb. 29 at her home at 6623 Waterton Dr.

She is charged with three counts of lewd battery and two counts of lewd or lascivious molestation.

The investigation began when the victim's mother told detectives she believed her son was "having a sexual relationship" with Anderson, who "is known to the family," according to the media release.

According to her profile page on the Mango Elementary website, Anderson is married with a young daughter and has taught at the school for more than five years.
