Update: Sheriff's Office Searches for Runaway Riverview Teen

Riverview High School student Maya Busby, 15, was last seen at a residence in Brandon on Jan. 15. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding the reported juvenile runaway.

Missing teen, Maya Busby returned home at approximately 6:30 p.m. Jan. 18, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Maya Busby, 15, a Riverview High School student, was last seen wearing a light-blue tank top and dark-blue spandex pants. She is described as a black female, 5-foot-3, 115 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

According to the sheriff’s report, Busby spent the night with friends at 1815 Fluorshire Drive in Brandon on Jan. 15. She left the residence and has not since returned home.

“This is the second time that Busby has left and not told anyone where she was going,” according to the sheriff’s report. “The last time she ran away, she was gone for approximately 10 hours.”

Busby is believed to be in the vicinity of Causeway Boulevard and 86th Street South in Tampa.

Anyone with any information regarding this missing teen is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at 813-247-8200.
