Sheriff's Deputy Involved in Crash

The accident occurred at U.S. 301 South and Interstate 75.

A Riverview resident has been cited for careless driving after crashing into a sheriff's vehicle at U.S. 301 South and Interstate 75 Tuesday, Aug. 7 at 7:28 a.m.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Deputy Milo Millovitch was in the middle of the median northbound on U.S. 301 under
the Interstate 75 roadway when a 2008 Honda Civic traveling northbound in the center lane lost control and skidded into the rear of Millovitch's
vehicle.

The driver of the Honda, Raymond Clendinen, 30, of 14012 Hollow Leaf Place, Riverview, was transported to Brandon Regional Hospital with minor injuries. The deputy, a 12-year veteran of the sheriff's office, was not injured.

There was an estimated $3,000 worth of damage to the sheriff's office vehicle and approximately $4,000 to the Honda.
