Riverview Woman Describes How She Shot, Killed Teen Who Tried to Rob Her Store

Taquanda Baker spoke to ABC Action News about the incident, in which she shot and killed Quintavius Antonio Moore, 16, at her West Tampa convenience store Monday.

The Riverview woman who accused of trying to rob her West Tampa convenience store spoke with ABC Action News about the incident.

Taquanda Baker pulled out her handgun and shot Quintavius Antonio Moore, 16, on Monday morning when he allegedly tried to rob Baker's Mini Mart, 2504 Armenia Ave., at gunpoint, Tampa Police said.

Baker, 31, told the news station Moore was a regular customer who shopped in her store several times a day. She described her emotions after the incident:

"It's a feeling in the inside. I can't explain it. It's like my heart's broken."

Baker said there was only $30 in the register when Moore tried to rob her. "That's nothing," she told the news station. "It's not worth your life."

Tampa Police are still investigating the incident.
