Riverview Motorcyclist Dies After Striking Median on Progress Blvd.

Eleazar Escorihuela, 48, was not wearing a helmet, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office reports.

The victim in a Sunday morning motorcycle fatality has been identified as a Riverview man, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators said Eleazar Escorihuela, 48, was driving northwest on Progress Boulevard at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, March 18, when his Yamaha V-star motorcycle struck the median at the intersection of Magnolia Park and Progress.

Escorihuela was ejected from the motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet, according to a media release, and was transported to Tampa General Hospital, where he died.
