Riverview Man's Missing Grandson, 2, Found Dead In River

The little boy wandered away from his family as they were getting ready to leave a football practice in Tampa.

The search for a 2-year-old boy who wandered away from his family after football practice last night has ended with bad news. The body of Armani Pierce, 2, was recovered by Tampa Police divers this morning in the Hillsborough River, just west of Temple Terrace.

The search for the boy started last night, Aug. 13, after football practice at Temple Crest Park,  8116 N. 37th St.

According to Tampabay.com, "Armani's mother, Alicia Sanders, 24, could be heard wailing, 'Oh, my baby' as family, friends and searchers cried with her."

The family was at the park because the boy's brother, 6, plays on the football team that was practicing at the park. Also his 4-year-old sister is a cheerleader, according to TBO.com.
