Hillsborough County sheriff's detectives are asking for the public's assistance in locating Dorrell Maxwell Webb, 39, of 10974 Winter Crest Dr., Riverview, who is wanted for felony animal cruelty, felony battery domestic violence and stalking.
The sheriff's office has issued two warrants for Webb's arrest.
According to the sheriff's office, on Nov. 5 Webb allegedly got into an argument with girlfriend Lorisa Bass, 45, of 10860 Hoffner Edge Dr., Riverview, over relationship issues.
Bass claims Webb began getting out of control and, fearing for her safety, she tried to get into her car and drive away. But she said Webb grabbed the car keys, breaking them off in the ignition.
Bass then tried to call for help but said Webb grabbed her cell phone and threw it down on the driveway, shattering it. So Bass tried to leave in another car but said Webb popped the hood and began messing with the engine.
He reportedly grabbed Bass' dog and threatened to break its neck, then threw the dog against the driveway, fracturing its leg in two places.
At that point, Bass ran inside her home to call 911. She said Webb followed her inside and ripped the phone cord out of the wall. She ran to a phone in another room and he reportedly ripped that phone cord out of the wall as well.
Bass then told Webb that she had placed the call to 911 before he pulled the cord out. Believing her, Webb left the house.
Since then, Webb has reportedly entered Bass' home several times.
