Riverview Boy, 4, Critical After Falling Off Pickup Truck
The boy was in critical condition after falling off the back of his father's pickup truck Wednesday night, ABC Action News reports.
A 4-year-old Riverview boy is in critical condition after falling off the back of his father's pickup truck overnight Wednesday, ABC Action News reported.
The father and one of his sons were reportedly pushing the truck to get it started at the intersection of Greenland Drive and Tocci Lane, the news station said. That's when the 4-year-old reportedly jumped on the back of the truck, and once it got started and lunged forward, the boy fell off the back.
"Authorities say the father didn’t know the child fell off until he turned around and came back," the station reported.

The boy was taken to the hospital as a trauma alert. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident, ABC said.
