Reward Offered to Help Identify Bloomingdale Vandals

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of those who vandalized Citizen Patrol cars.

If you know the identity of culprits who vandalized Bloomingdale Citizens Patrol cars, you could be eligible for a $1,000 cash reward.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is seeking the person or persons who vandalized three Hillsborough County Sheriff`s Office Citizen Patrol vehicles between Friday, May 27, at 10 p.m. and Saturday, May 28 at 7 a.m.

The vehicles were parked at the Bloomingdale Community Substation on Erindale Drive. The vandals used bricks, chunks of asphalt and a metal pipe to shatter the windshields, windows and tail lights. It rendered the vehicles inoperable. Damage is estimated at $6,000. Nearby signs belonging to Roberts Auto Shop and Porter Paints also were vandalized.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the vandals. Anyone with any information regarding the identity and whereabouts of those responsible in this case and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS(8477), report anonymously online by clicking on the "Submit a Tip" button , text "CSTB plus your tip" to 274637 (CRIMES) or send a mobile tip using our new "Tipsubmit Mobile" application, which is a free download for iPhones, iPods, and Droids.
