Pedestrian Killed on Bloomingdale Avenue

Timothy John Boucher was killed while crossing Bloomingdale Avenue early this morning.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a pedestrian, killed while crossing Bloomingdale Avenue Oct. 12 at 1:24 a.m.

According to the sheriff's office, Timothy John Boucher, 26, of 105 Windy Circle, was crossing Bloomingdale Avenue, about 1,000 feet east of John Moore Road, when he was hit by a truck.

The driver of the truck is 42-year-old Jeffrey Scott Harding, 14909 Glenrock Ave., Spring Hill. Harding was driving a 2003 Mack truck registered to Land O' Lakes Recycling.

The sheriff's office said Boucher was attempting to cross from the south to the north side of Bloomingdale Avenue and entered the path of the eastbound recycling truck.

He died at the scene.
