Lithia Teen Dies in Motorcyle Accident in Polk County

Cameron Lee Koss, 19, of Lithia died after his motorcycle crashed into a fence post.

A Lithia teen died Friday morning after he crashed his motorcycle into a fence post along County Road 676 in Polk County, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.

Cameron Lee Koss, 19, of Lithia, was riding approximately one-and-a-half miles west of Anderson Road southwest of Mulberry when he lost control of his 2007 Yamaha R6 motorcycle and crashed into a fence post at about 10:50 a.m., according to a Florida Highway Patrol report. He died on scene.

Koss was wearing a helmet.
