Firefighter Injured Fighting Riverview Mobile Home Fire

The fire broke out about 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5.

A Hillsborough County firefighter is listed in good condition after a roof collapsed on him while fighting a mobile home fire at 12914 Darla Dr., Riverview, according to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.

Firefighters arrived at the scene at around 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, to find the heavy flames emerging from the attic of the mobile home.

No one was home at the time and the residents' dogs were safe in the yard.

While firefighters doused the flames, the home's roof partially collasped, injuring one firefighter. He was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

Investigators are looking into the cause.
