Customer Arrested For Stabbing At Riverview McDonald's

Rebecca Simmons reportedly stabbed Mohammad Abukhder in the buttocks.

A verbal fight in the drive-through of the Riverview McDonald's has landed a Tampa woman in the Hillsborough County Jail.

On Wednesday, Aug. 7, around 9:20 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a stabbing at the McDonald's at 13118 U.S. 301 S. in Riverview.

Deputies discovered that Rebecca Simmons, 45, of 7513 N. Lois Ave., Tampa, had stabbed Mohammad Abukhder, 35, of Lakeland.

The incident started with a verbal altercation when Simmons attempted to cut in front of the victim in the McDonald's drive-through. Abukhder shouted profanities at Simmons. In reaction, Simmons got out of her car with a knife and stab the hood of Abukhder's 2000 Honda Civic, causing approximately $200 in damage.

Abukhder left his car, walked over to Simmons' car and attempted to remove her car keys so that she could not leave the scene.

Simmons then reportedly followed Abukhder to her car and stabbed him the right buttocks, causing a small puncture wound which did not require medical attention.

Simmons was arrested at the scene and transported to the Orient Road Jail, charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief with property damage.
