Court Records: Teacher From Riverview Admits to Sex With Boy, 12

Ethel Anderson, a fifth-grade teacher at Mango Elementary School, was secretly recorded by detectives during a conversation, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

A fifth-grade teacher from Riverview admitted to sex acts with a 12-year-old boy in a conversation secretly monitored by detectives, the Tampa Bay Times reports, citing court records filed Monday.

Ethel Anderson, a teacher at Mango Elementary School in Seffner, was arrested last week and , who wasn't a student of hers. Investigators said she tutored him and brought him to her Waterton Drive home, where the incidents occurred.

The court records do not make clear who wore the audio recording device during a Feb. 29 meeting with Anderson, the Times reports, and the name of the person is redacted.

According to the Times, "The documents show the meeting was arranged by the boy's mother, who had contacted the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office days earlier after discovering several 'inappropriate' text messages from Anderson."

Anderson was released Saturday on $50,000 bail.
