High School Teacher Had Child Porn, Deputies Say

Bloomingdale West resident David Valesano Jr. has been charged with 20 counts of possession of child pornography following a two-month investigation by detectives with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Internet Predator Unit. 

Valesano is a math teacher at Newsome High School, according to MyFoxTampabay.com.

Detectives executed a court-authorized search warrant of Valesano's home at 729 Fortuna Dr., Brandon, at 7:08 a.m. Thursday, July 18, and seized four computers and several digital media items.  

A subsequent computer forensic investigation revealed that Valesano was in possession of files depicting children approximately 8 years old to 13 years old engaged in sexual activities, deputies said. The material had been downloaded from known sites on the Internet.  

He was arrested and transported to the Hillsborough County Jail.
