2 Valrico Men Arrested Trying to Get Early Start on Black Friday Deals

Christopher Glavich and Joshua Venable were charged with burglarizing a semi trailer at a Brandon-area Best Buy.

Two Valrico men were charged with burglarizing a semi trailer at a Brandon-area Best Buy early Sunday in what authorities said was an attempt to get a head start on some Black Friday shopping deals.

Christopher Glavich, 21, of 2203 E. Lumsden Rd., and Joshua Venable, 20, of 3101 Bloomingdale Ave., were charged with burglary of an unoccupied structure after Hillsborough County Sheriff's deupties caught them breaking into a semi trailer parked behind the at 116 Grand Regency Blvd.

"The suspects stated that they thought that there might be some electronics stored in the semi because of upcoming Black Friday sales," sheriff's office spokesperson Debbie Carter wrote in a news release.

Glavich fled, according to the report, but was tracked down by a deputy with a K-9 and was found hiding in a tall grassy area nearby.

Venable was arrested without incident.
