Frugal Family

We've scoured the area to bring you bargins.

We're all watching our family budgets these days. Whether shopping with coupons or looking for two-for-one deals, we're taking advantage of all sorts of offers and savings that help us stretch our dollars.

This column will be dedicated to giving you five great local deals each week that will help your family’s bottom line, and since we do the scouting for you, you can save time as well as money.

You are a big part of this column. Let us hear about the deals you've seen. Just add them to our comment box.

Then come back each week and see what we've uncovered together.

Remember to check with the merchant for additional conditions.

1.  Publix Supermarkets Inc., in this past week's ad, had a $10 off a $50 gas card when you purchased $25 in groceries. Although this fabulous deal ends today, you still have time to get in on saving 20 percent on your gas this week.  The coupon is in the weekly flier.

2.  * Tire Kingdom, 1527 E. Brandon Blvd, is offering an oil change for $9.99 plus $3 disposal fee.  You can find the coupon on its Website.  This great deal is only good until May 15.

3.  Papa John's, 3517 Bell Shoals Road, Valrico, is featuring two large pizzas with up to three toppings for $20. You can get that deal by ordering through the Website, http://www.papajohns.com/, or mentioning to the employee on the phone when ordering.

4.  Dog Gone Holistic, 5620 Fishhawk Crossing Blvd., Lithia, is celebrating its third anniversary this weekend.  To help celebrate, you can find some fantastic coupons on its Website, http://www.doggoneholistic.biz/coupons.htm?groupId=7804.  Remember, it's only for Friday, May 13, and Saturday, May 14.

5.  Just in time to help with spring cleaning, Heaven's Best Carpet Cleaners based in the Brandon/Valrico area is offering free estimates and a coupon for three rooms cleaned for $90 (oversized rooms may count as two). Visit www.heavensbest.com for further details about this company.

For Tire Kingdom, it should read a $3 disposal fee...not $30.
