Can chemobrain be considered a disability?

First a quick refresher on the subject: Chemobrain is a side effect of chemotherapy and it refers to the foggy mind and forgetfulness many experience after chemotherapy.

The inability to recall words, multitask or loss of short-term memory can all be a part of chemobrain. This condition can last upwards of five years for some and the severity can range from mild to severe. Many women who have suffered with chemobrain after their breast cancer therapy will tell you it is certainly disabling.

But this begs the question, is it a disability? Meaning can you receive reasonable accommodations at work and/or benefits due to inability to work based on chemobrain symptoms? The answer is yes!
