Time to Act

This past month, our government announced that the Catholic Church would no longer be granted a religious exemption from certain provisions of the Affordable Health Care Act because we employ and offer assistance to people of other faiths. As a result, we will be required to offer contraceptive procedures and medicines which are contrary to our religious beliefs.

Bishop Robert Lynch has written an excellent letter on this subject. I encourage you with all my heart to become informed on this issue as well as other recent infringements on the separation of church and state and to write to President Obama, our congressmen, and Kathleen Sebelius, secretary of Health and Human Services.
