Lamb of God Lutheran Church Hosts Godtoberfest Celebration

Join Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Lithia for some good old fashioned family fun during the annual Godtoberfest celebration Oct. 5-13, 2013. Funds received during the fall-themed festivities help provide scholarships for families in need at the church’s Open Arms Early Childhood Center

Godtoberfest kicks off with a children’s carnival on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature hayrides, a pumpkin patch, bouncy castles and slides, entertainment, vendors, German food and beer, fall-themed treats and more. Entrance to the carnival is free and there is a small fee for games, rides and food.

A special Blessing of the Animals will take place on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. All pets are welcome. And stop by the church on Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. to participate in a wine and beer tasting party.

A dinner and auction will be held on Friday, Oct. 11 from 6:30-10 p.m. The event will feature delicious catered food and auction items ranging from theme park tickets, gift certificates to local businesses, artwork, entertainment packages and more.

This year’s Godtoberfest golf tournament goes mini. Sign up for some friendly putt-putt competition during the miniature golf tournament on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 5 p.m. The event will take place at Ace Golf, located at 12910 Boyette Rd. in Riverview.
