Video Views From Big-Box Development Protest

Residents aimed to raise awareness of the movement to block development of a big-box retailer and apartments off Bloomingdale Avenue in Valrico, adjacent to the Bloomingdale Regional Library.

This series of videos were shot May 7 on Bloomingdale Avenue in Valrico, where residents lined up to raise awareness of their opposition to the proposed development adjacent to the Bloomingdale Regional Library, east of Bloomingdale High School and west of the Bloomingale Little League fields and the Campo Family YMCA.

Under the banner, "No Bloomingdale Big Box," the neighbors were protesting development on land zoned for a 158,000-square-foot big-box store, 260 apartments and other commercial space.
