On Tap at the Florida Strawberry Festival Today (March 9)

The 2013 Florida Strawbrerry Festival kicks off today, Saturday, March 9, with the Gaither Vocal Band set to perform at 3:30 p.m., followed by Bret Michaels "Get Your Rock On 2013" at 7:30 p.m.

2013 Florida Strawberry Festival: Need To Know Saturday, March 9

Today is Farm Worker Appreciation Day at the 2013 Florida Strawberry Festival.

• Sponsored by Astin Farms.

Also at the festival today:

• Gates open and close at 10 a.m. 

• The midway opens at 10 a.m.

• Admission is $10 for people age 13 and up and $5 for children ages 6 to 12. Children age 5 and under are admitted for free when accompanied by a paying adult.

• The Gaither Vocal Band is set to perform 3:30 p.m. on the Wish Farms Soundstage.

• Kari & Billy are scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Borden Dairy Strawberry Tent.

• The CF Industries Youth Steer Sale is set for 7 p.m. at the Patterson Co. Livestock Arena.

• The Rev. Art Jones and the Bible-Based Fellowship Church Cathedral Choir is set for 7:30 to 10 p.m. at the Sweetbay Supermarket Showcase Tent.

• Bret Michaels "Get Your Rock On 2013" is set to perform 7:30 p.m. on the Wish Farms Soundstage.
