Dec. 21, 2012: Riding Out the Apocalypse in Bloomingdale-Riverview

Where would you go to make sure you could count yourself among the survivors?

As the often-predicted end of the world approaches, we’d like to get your take on which places in Bloomingdale, Riverview, FishHawk and Valrico would be the best for riding out the chaos an apocalypse might bring.

Whether you believe in the spin on the ending of the Mayan calendar or not, we’d like to get your take on the safest places to go in the Bloomingdale-Riverview area if Doomsday is really on the way.

How would you ride it out?

  • Would you go hide out at The Regent, which is supposed to be a heavy-duty hurricane shelter?
  • Perhaps you’d prefer the outdoors setting of Paul Sanders Park (the Tree Park)?
  • Maybe you’d want to protect and preserve our culture’s history by holding up in the library and guarding all the books?

Whatever the case, we want to hear from you! Where would you ride out Doomsday? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
