USDA says healthy food is NOT more expensive

A new USDA published report shows that eating healthy can save your health and save you money.

Recently, the USDA published a study where they show that eating healthy food is actually cheaper than eating "junk" food .  For years, many people have used the excuse that eating healthy is just too expensive; and due to economic constraints, they are forced to eat unhealthy.  This newly published study shows that thinking to be false.

I would also like to give credit to the New York Times, and Mark Bittman, in particular, who broke this story months ago .  I highly recommend the NYT article because they have fantastic info-graphics and images to accompany the piece.

Fortunately, living in Tampa Bay, we are able to enjoy amicable weather year round, and take advantage of the fruits and vegetable that grow in our climate.  Many other parts of the country do not have this luxury.
