Important Changes to the PIP (Auto Accident) Coverage in Florida

Are you aware of the new changes to the PIP law's in Florida? These changes directly affect your ability to seek medical care for your injuries.

I am sure many of you have heard about the changes regarding Personal Injury Protection (PIP) coverage in the State of Florida.  Next week I will have a full blog detailing the changes and how they affect your ability to seek medical treatment for your injuries.  Today I would just like to highlight a VERY important change.  In order to use your PIP insurance benefits (which you pay for), you must seek medical examination/treatment within 14 days of the date of the accident.  If you do not seek medical attention within that 14 day window then you forfeit the right to use your PIP coverage.

With this change now signed into law; I would greatly encourage you to seek a medical evaluation as soon as possible if you are involved in an automobile accident.  Look out next week for a full blog detailing the ramifications of this law and how it may affect you or your loved ones.
