Construction crews renovate the storefront in Bloomingdale Square for the new Bloomingdale Chipotle restaurant.

Construction crews are busy renovating a storefront in Bloomingdale Square for the new Chipotle Mexican Grill.

According to Mark Ely, leasing agent for the shopping center's owner, Regency Centers, residents can expect to dine at Bloomingdale's newest restaurant three months from now.

Chipotle is occupying the space that once housed Latin Cafe 2000, 829 E. Bloomingdale Ave., Brandon. Latin Cafe, owned by Anderson Ruiz, is moving to a new standalone restaurant currently under construction at the site of the former Lee House, 3318 John Moore Road, Brandon.

Chipotle has reportedly leased 2,650 square feet of space in the shopping center.

Ely said the new Chipotle restaurant would be similar to the one in Orlando and South Tampa.
