The show, featuring local high school seniors, will take place at the Winthrop Barn Theatre.

A Riverview photographer is hosting a fashion show Thursday to benefit the establishment of an arts museum at Winthrop Town Centre in Riverview.

Stacy Larsen of Stacy Larsen Photography, 6030 Winthrop Town Centre Drive, Riverview, will host “Lights, Camera, Fashion” May 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Winthrop Barn Theatre. Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door.

The fashion show, featuring 21 models wearing clothing from Downtown Divas, Royalty X Three,  and Hut 8, with hair and makeup by makeup artist Brandi Lynn and Asonipse Aveda Salon. The event will include refreshments and desserts provided by the Italian Kitchen in Riverview.

"I'm hoping to make this an annual event," said Larsen. Anyone attending will receive a certificate for $100 off a photo shoot by Larsen. Photo shoots, including hair and makeup, at Larsen's studio are normally $300.

"This is the only sale I do all year," she said. "They just need to book their session during the following week but they can do the shoot any time during the next year."

In addition, one lucky winner that night will receive a free photo shoot.

Larsen specializes in photographing her subjects in an environment they feel comfortable in. She said she strives to develop a relationship with each customer so she can capture “the essence of who they are."

Larsen takes photos in her studio as well as at any location the subject wishes.

"I shoot anywhere on location," she said. "I do a lot of my shoots at Winthrop because the architecture here is so amazing and there's that wooded area by the barn. But I also go on location to the beach, to Ybor City, wherever the subject chooses."

In addition, all sessions include hair and makeup done by Brandi Lynn, said Larsen.

"She's amazing. Everyone she does is so surprised by how natural they look," said Larsen.

"It's all about the model," she continued. "They get pampered for the shoot, and I only do one photo shoot a day so I'm 100 percent theirs. I like to take a lot of time with the models so they're comfortable with me. I don't rush photo shoots."

Larsen is currently promoting her high school graduation business, offering teens an alternative to the standard yearbook photos.

"I've had so many people say they're looking for an alternative to the traditional school photos," she said.

In business for seven years, Larsen began taking pictures after her third child was born.

"My grandmother gave me an old Olympus SRL film camera when my son was born," said Larsen. "I started playing around with it and people began asking me to take photos for them. It quickly developed into a passion and a profession for me."

Larsen will be at her current location at Winthrop Town Centre until June when she moves to a larger 1,300-square-foot studio above Morelli’s Italian Ice in Winthrop Town Centre.
