Riverview Chamber Welcomes New Members

New members were introduced at the chamber's monthly meeting March 26.

Dr. Bryan Thatcher, owner and president of Thatcher Properties in Riverview, discussed how Dale Carnegie's Book, "How to Win Friends and Influence People," impacted his own life and business during the March 26 meeting of the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce.

More than 180 members and guests attended the meeting at The Regent in Riverview.

In addition to Thatcher's presentation, the chamber welcomed new members including licensed clinical social worker Heather Comfort's company, a Batter Chapter, of Apollo Beach; Adventures-N-Babysitting at Kids Community College of Riverview; Anytime Fitness on Boyette Road; attorney Ashley Allen of Riverview; Best Friends for Kids Inc. of Brandon; The Cinderella Shoppe Bridal and Prom of Brandon; Executive Dry Cleaners of Riverview; Florida State Rep. Jake Raburn, R-Valrico; Graphyx on Demand of Riverview; Laser Sharp Sign Design of Tampa; Nate the Gate-Access Controls of Brandon; Nurse Hour of Brandon; Riverview Bail Bonds of Riverview; Richard Liebespach of Valrico; and The Ancient Wisdom of Yoga of Riverview.

Upcoming chamber events include:

  • South Shore Young Professional Association Social Tuesday, April 2 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Bahama Breeze in Westfield Brandon, 805 Brandon Town Center Dr., Brandon. There will be complimentary appetizers and a cash bar.
  • Taking Care of Business Relationship Building Network Thursday, April 4 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at The Alley at South Shore, 10221 Big Bend Rd., Riverview.
  • Tropical Business After Hours, a poolside social and networking event co-sponsored by The Bridges Retirement Community and Osenton Law Offices April 4 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the clubhouse at The Bridges, 11202 Dewhurst Dr., Riverview. 
  • EDGE Seminar April 9 from 8 to 10 a.m. at The Bridges Retirement Community, 11202 Dewhurst Dr., Riverview. The EDGE (Educate, Develop & Grow the Economy) Seminar Series is hosted by the Economic Development Initiative of the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce This month's feature is "Unclog Your Sales Funnel," presented by Black Diamond Associates.
