Race is On for After-Christmas Sales, Discounts

Didn't get what you wanted for Christmas? Or perhaps you're interested in stocking up on discounted Christmas decorations and wrappings for next year. Here's some places to check out for after-Christmas bargains.

• Bealls is advertising 70 percent off all seasonal merchandise as well as 70 percent off "Beall Ringers," including select boxed gifts, women's, men's and children's outerwear and toys for kids. Today only, take an extra 30 percent off storewide color-slashed clearance prices. Dec. 26 hours are 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Dec. 29. The store's "semi-annual intimate event" is going on through Dec. 31. Buy one, get one for $1.

• CVS Pharmacy stores sales are on with a free $10 CVSCash Card when you spend $30 or more on select CVS-brand products. Other enticements include "big beauty sale" items and a free CVS glass scale for purchases involving $30 or more for weight-loss products. As with most stores, Christmas items are on sale for 50 percent off.

• At , year-end specials include 50 percent off select Christmas candy, toys and seasonal home decor and $3 to $9 off tops and bottoms. Walmart is also featuring sales on fitness items including the Gold's Gym exercise mat for $18.97 and the Gold's Gym resistance tube kit for $14.77.

• Doors open at 7 a.m. Dec. 26 at . Thousands of clearance items will be available throughout the store. Get a Kindle for $79 when you trade in your old one. There is 30 percent off, or more, on selected toys and 30 percent to 70 percent off selected clothing and accessories.

• Walgreens is offering bargains galore on its year-end sale, which runs through Dec. 31. The Christmas clearance sale starts today.

• Stein Mart is featuring 30 percent off all red dot clearance items with a coupon from the store flier available in Sunday newspapers. Save up to 80 percent on certain items. Stein Mart also has 75 percent off Christmas decor, 50 percent off boxed jewelry and 75 percent off holiday motif ladies apparel.

• Don't forget to check out locally owned small businesses for great discounts on Christmas items and after-holiday specials.
