Newland Communities will have more than 30 model homes will be on display through March 17 during the Parade of Homes..

Newland Communities will host the “World’s Largest Open House” to coincide with the 2013 Parade of Homes’ largest showcase in five years.

Waterset in Apollo Beach, the host community for 2013, and its sister communities FishHawk Ranch in Lithia and MiraBay in Apollo Beach will feature more than 30 model homes from 12 builders  through March 17 – more than any other developer in Hillsborough County.

“Partnering with exceptional builders and providing a variety of home styles and recreational amenities that appeal to all kinds of families, is what makes our communities vibrant,” said Rick Harcrow, senior vice president of operations at Newland Communities. “Our newest community, Waterset, opened in October 2012 and we are thrilled it was selected as the host community for this year’s Parade of Homes’ Showcase Home.”

Along with the showcase home builder, David Weekly Homes, Waterset will feature offerings from Homes by WestBay, Cardel Homes and Ashton Woods Homes for a total of 10 models on display. Home sizes range from around 1,700 to 3,800 square feet, and prices begin at $180,000. Waterset’s amenity center, The Landing, is already open and includes a swimming pool, fitness center, playground, screened room with ping pong, a café and community trails. A Montessori preschool is also on-site.

FishHawk Ranch will have models from 12 builders on display during the parade. The community also recently celebrated the grand opening of its fifth community recreation center, the Starling Club, which features a cardio room, two pools – including one with lap lanes and one with a splash park -- a playground, community dog park and a game room with billiards, air hockey, foosball and ping pong. FishHawk Ranch’s builders are Arthur Rutenberg, Ashton Woods Homes, Beazer Homes, Cardel Homes, Centex Homes, D.R. Horton, David Weekley Homes, Homes by John C. Fowke, Homes by WestBay, K. Hovnanian Homes, Ryland Homes and Sabal Homes.

MiraBay also will have three model homes on parade from Homes by WestBay and Cardel Homes. Along with Ashton Woods Homes, these three builders offer homes that range in size from 1,600 to 3,700 square feet, with pricing from the low $200,000s.

To top it off, Waterset’s Landing Café will offer parade patrons an extra treat—a free coffee, redeemable only for those who “check in” to Waterset through Facebook’s mobile app. More details on this promotion can be found on Waterset’s Facebook Page.
