New Waterfront Apartments in Riverview Set For Grand Opening

The Preserve at Alafia, a waterfront luxury apartment community at 10110 Gibsonton Drive, Riverview sits on 40 acres.

Tampa-based Garrison Developer Group of Florida announced the completion of The Preserve at Alafia, a waterfront luxury apartment community at 10110 Gibsonton Drive, Riverview.

A grand opening celebration will be held on Thursday, Aug. 4, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The Preserve's contemporary residences were built on 40 acres along the Alafia River, nestling up to more than 80 acres of pristine county-protected preserve and wetlands, according to a press release.

“We are simply delighted to celebrate completion and occupancy of this tremendous multi-family project within Tampa’s Riverview/Brandon community with our development partners and notable locals,” said Rey Ortega, president of Garrison Developer Group of Florida.

Scott Baad, partner at Patriot Residential Management Services, the professional firm in charge of managing The Preserve at Alafia, said the amenities coupled with residents’ unimpeded access to both downtown Tampa and the Riverview/Brandon area have driven rapid leasing of apartments.

“There is not a single traffic light between The Preserve and both downtown Tampa and the Westfield Brandon mall. Both are just minutes away on I-75,” said Baad. “The lure of living in a luxurious, secluded resort environment with immediate city access is simply unprecedented in Tampa Bay.”

The apartments are priced from $835 a month for a 757-square-foot one-bedroom apartment to $1,499 a month for a 1,282-square-foot apartment featuring three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The Preserve offers six floor plans with varying square footage.

Covered parking and storage is available to all tenants, with the elevator service for the Preserve’s mid-rise buildings.

There also is a day dock and storage for canoes and kayaks, a riverfront clubhouse with a fitness center, an outdoor fireplace lounge, yoga pavilion and pet agility park.

Residents can access the 80 acres of adjacent preserve for hiking, refine their golf games on the putting green, enjoy a game of billiards and access the property’s theater/conference room.

“We are excited to bring this upscale resort-style apartment community to Tampa Bay,” said Ortega. “This project has created a new gateway for the Riverview community, and our residents will contribute significantly to the economy of this area.”

The 351 apartments of The Preserve are comprised of one-, two- and three-bedroom garden and mid-rise apartment homes.

The residences of The Preserve at Alafia are the first phase of a total $100-million three-phase multiuse project featuring the Shoppes at Alafia Crossing, which consist of retail and office space and a full-service Holiday Inn with a conference center and restaurant. Alafia Crossing is set to open in the fall of 2012.
