New Shabby Chic Boutique and Salon Now Open in Riverview

The dual business offers one-stop convenience for style and shopping.

Named after their great grandmothers, husband and wife duo Ramsey and Staci Bentley recently opened Lena Maxey, a unique boutique and salon located at 13212 Boyette Road in Riverview.

“Ramsey and I both wanted the business to connect with our family and heritage and also be a blending of our two families and backgrounds,” explained Staci regarding the name choice.

According to the Bentleys, Lena Maxey is a one-of-a-kind destination offering both styling and shopping in one convenient location.

“We have always wanted to open a boutique specializing in antiques and gifts. The salon just seemed like a natural fit to go along with the boutique. It is also a matter of convenience. While customers are getting a haircut or processing, we can package their gifts and have them ready to go.”

Offering an array of treasures, there is something to satisfy everyone’s taste at Lena Maxey. Jewelry and gifts start at less than $5, with the most expensive antique furniture pieces topping out around $500. For example, one box of Wine-A-Rita and two personalized wine glasses are $20.

The boutique also carries numerous "Give Something Back" products to include candles and granola. This month, they’re featuring "Save the Ta-Ta's" merchandise in support of breast cancer awareness and research.  Both of Ramsey's sisters are breast cancer survivors so they are thrilled to be able to support the cause.

In addition, customers who purchase their highly fragrant soy candles feed a child for a day with the proceeds. Lena Maxey also carries a line of granola made by women who have been previously abused or addicted.  These women are taught how to run a bakery to earn a living.

The full-service salon offers shampoo, color, cut, styling services.

Offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere filled with Southern hospitality and elegance, Lena Maxey’s boutique is open Tuesday, 9 a.m. until 7 p.m., Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The Bentleys are also open by appointment.

“Let us know you are coming and we’ll leave the lights on for you,” joked Staci Bentley.

Salon hours are as follows: Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Walk-ins are always welcome. Call 813-571-2354 to schedule an appointment or address any questions.
