Lithia Studio Offers Recruiting Videos for College-Bound Athletes

Videosyncrasy helps high school athletes market themselves with high-quality videos.

If your high school athlete is trying to catch the attention of college recruiters, Lithia-based Videosyncrasy may be able to help.

The full-service video production firm in Lithia is now offering AdvantEdge Sports Recruiting Videos to college-bound athletes.

“The service is designed exclusively for high school athletes who wish to compete in their sport at the collegiate level,” said owner Steve Kistler.

The AdvantEdge process begins with an assessment of the athlete’s particular sport and collegiate goals, followed by filming the athlete during live high-level competition or a staged drills and skills session, depending upon the sport.

A student-athlete interview and coach’s testimonial are also filmed and included in the final edit.

Each video is professionally compiled into a “very visually appealing package that will showcase the athlete in the best light possible," said Kistler.

The videos are shot with broadcast-quality HD equipment and edited on a state-of-the-art digital non-linear system (the same used by many TV stations), added Kistler.

“If you have already shot (or acquired) video of your student athlete that you feel is worthy of including in a skills or highlights video, we will be happy to review and edit it for you to incorporate it into the package," said Kistler.

Kistler said he began offering the recruitment video service after witnessing the struggle junior and high school athletes have getting noticed.

“After working for years with coaches, trainers and athletes, we saw firsthand how fierce the competition is among recruitable athletes, as they vie for precious scholarship money and a place on their collegiate teams of choice," he said.

He surveyed hundreds of college coaches around the country who told Kistler that a high-quality video is essential when reviewing an athlete's merits.

“Coaches will only recruit the kids at the top of the heap and they receive hundreds of videos each week," he said. "If you want to get noticed, you’ve got to stand out from the pack. The skills/highlight video can be a powerful marketing tool and coaches rely on it for a first impression. We’ve taken careful steps to design what we believe to be the most professional, dynamic, yet cost-effective video package to showcase a prospective player.”
