Happy Tomato Now Features Recycled Art

In addition to fresh fruits and vegetables, the Happy Tomato Produce Market is now offering recycled yard art for sale.

You can get more than fresh fruits and locally grown vegetables at the .

Now, you also can pick up a piece of artwork at the produce stand at 3623 Lithia-Pinecrest Rd., Valrico.

Owners Ron and Tiffini Masessa have begun carrying a line of unique colorful sculptures and wind chimes created by Temple Terrace artist and welder Jeffrey DeBlasio using recycled tools, utensils and other metal pieces.

Prices for a set of whimsical wind chimes range from $20 up while DeBlasio's sculptures, suitable for outdoors, range from $29 to $99.

In addition to the artwork, the Masessas offer local honey, local honey, Whatever Pops all-natural popsicles made in South Tampa, fresh pasta made in Clearwater, local fresh, boiled peanuts and orchids.

Also on special this week are Washington cherries for $2.50 a pound while supplies last.

The Happy Tomato is Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They accept all major credit cards.
