Gumballs & Overalls Makes a Move

The children's boutique has relocated to 3239 Lithia-Pinecrest Road, Valrico, in the building formerly occupied by Tassels Interiors.

For Tammy Hicks, owner of Gumballs & Overalls children's boutique, making a move just a block north on Lithia-Pinecrest Road proved to be a triple win.

"I've got more space, better accessibility and better visibility," said Hicks, who celebrated the one-year anniversary of Gumballs & Overalls in August. "It's the perfect spot for me."

Hicks' loyal clientele have had no problem finding her at the new location at 3239 Lithia-Pinecrest Rd., Valrico.

She also offers a selection of christening items along with custom dresses and matching hair accessories. She can provide custom-made garments for weddings and other special occasions in seven to 10 days.

One of her most popular items is her cloth diapers.

"Many mothers are going back to using cloth diapers," said Hicks. "They're eco-friendly and they're healthier for the child -- no diaper rash."

In addition, budget-conscious moms have discovered that cloth diapers are cheaper.

"You can have two year's worth of cloth diapers for what you'd spend for three months on disposables," Hicks said.

Hicks offers eight brands of cloth diapers along with liners and swimming diapers.

In addition to apparel and accessories, Hicks provides photography services at her store and hosts several classes including baby sign language and Kindermusik.
