announced that, for the month of April, it will give a discount of $25 on new hiking shoes when a gently used pair are brought in and donated for the homeless.

Locally owned and operated sporting goods store Flint Creek Outfitters, with stores at 13425 FishHawk Blvd., Lithia, and Ocala, knows that everyone will be getting the spring cleaning bug. It’s time to clean out the closet and find that pair of hiking boots that just did not fit just right and trade them in for a $25 discount on a new pair.

While quality hiking boots are made to last many seasons, there are times  that what you think will be the perfect pair just are not fitting right. Flint Creek Outfitters wants to give customers the opportunity to not leave those good boots just sitting in a closet. By bringing in the hiking shoes that just don’t work for them, they can help others in their neighborhood who are less fortunate than they are and get a discount on a new pair.

For the month of April, Flint Creek Outfitters in Ocala and Lithia will be collecting these gently used boots and, at the end of the month, items collected will be donated to a local shelter for the homeless.

Flint Creek Outfitters is a family-owned company. The store carries outdoor clothing, fly-fishing supplies, camping equipment, luggage, footwear, kayaking equipment, kayaks, tents, fly rods, bags, backpacking supplies and much more.

Flint Creek Outfitters was founded by Gordon Comer on the same principles and love for the outdoors that his father Cecil had established years ago with his trailer, camper and snowmobile business. 

Hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
