Disabled Veteran Opens Bookkeeping Express Office in Riverview

Dom Cirello hopes to employ other disabled veterans.

News Report

BookKeeping Express, the first U.S. franchise focused solely on bookkeeping services, recently announced the opening of its first office in Riverview, serving businesses throughout East Tampa Bay.

BookKeeping Express offers a much-needed service to businesses, so they can get back to doing what they do best.

“Our ‘Profit and Growth’ services help alleviate a void that exists locally within the business community,” said Dom Cirello, owner of BookKeeping Express in Riverview. “I am excited about serving East Tampa Bay and setting my roots deep in the business community. BookKeeping Express has more than 20 years of experience in the industry, and its proven business model will provide me with the marketing and operations support needed to help grow the business, thus allowing me to help my clients grow theirs.”

After serving 13 years in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of captain, Cirello spent the next 12 years as an IT project manager and business analyst. He finds a comfortable transition to BookKeeping Express as it is a technology-driven solution.

Cirello obtained his master's degree at the Air Force Institute of Technology in systems management and business administration.

In addition to owning a business, Cirello is active in his local community. A veteran with service-connected disabilities himself, Cirello supports his fellow veterans by volunteering regularly at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital along with the St. Stephen Catholic Church's Knights of Columbus and Disabled American Veterans.

With the opening of this new business, he is looking to employee veterans and families of veterans. As a veteran himself, he failed to find jobs that accepted him and his service-related injuries. But as a BookKeeping Express owner, Cirello is looking to help those with disabilities still find comfort in a workplace.

Cirello also is looking forward to helping small businesses in the area thrive.

“So many otherwise sound businesses fail to account for their financial dealings, which in turn hinders their revenues and growth. They want to efficiently move forward, but without knowing how to best utilize their financial data, they often feel frustrated and overwhelmed…and that’s where we come in,” added Cirello. “The benefits of allowing BookKeeping Express to maintain their books with CPA oversight throughout the year are enormous from a cost standpoint...particularly in the current economic climate. Without this kind of partnership expertise, I see too many business owners experiencing the negative impact of falling behind on their financial records.”

BookKeeping Express’ services include setting up charts of accounts and general ledgers, monthly data entry, processing and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, producing monthly reports and tax reporting. Plus, BookKeeping Express utilizes a Custom Flex Pricing Model that is based on the clients’ needs instead of a one-size-fits-all, hourly billing approach.

The expansion into the Riverview area is part of the company’s aggressive national development plans which call for more than 400 new territories throughout the United Sates.

“The business community is growing in Riverview and around the country, and BookKeeping Express is expanding with it, providing qualified individuals with a niche franchise option that caters to this growing segment,” said Greg Jones, CEO of BookKeeping Express. “We are looking to grow with franchise partners such as Dom who are serious about owning a business and sincere about their desire to fill a void in their communities with our distinctive services.”

As part of the BookKeeping Express franchise model, Cirello has the support of the BookKeeping Express Team Center to take care of any outsourced bookkeeping needs so he can focus his attention on his business and client consultation. This gives him the ability to grow his business without hiring additional employees. The U.S.-based Team Center, located in Boise, Idaho, also serves as a new sales channel for BookKeeping Express franchise offices. Cirello can sell the service in his community to CPA firms and independent bookkeepers.

In addition, the new BookKeeping Express office offers the BKE Connect system, which allows businesses access to all bookkeeping files remotely through an outside server, as well as a dashboard that clearly and visually ‘sums’ up the business’ operations for thorough analysis. Plus, business owners can synchronize their QuickBooks and enjoy convenient, anytime access to their financial documents through BKE EDocs, a new electronic filing system designed to provide secure, online storage of financial documents.
