Big Red Barn Market and Deli Now Open in Riverview

Riverview's Big Red Barn Market and Deli is now open at 10070 Fern Hill Dr., off Gibsonton Drive in Riverview.

The community's newest farmer's market and deli is located in a 6,000-square-foot, air-conditioned building on the site of Fern Hill Family Farms.

The Big Red Barn features fresh strawberries and vegetables grown on the farm as well as a wide range of fruits and vegetables produced by other area farmers.

In addition, the Big Red Barn offers a large selection of all-natural premium deli meats and cheeses from Troyer's Amish Wedding line, pre-made salads, freshly made Cubans and other sandwiches, strawberry shakes, strawberry shortcake and smoothies.

The Big Red Barn also houses a gift shop featuring products from Mother Earth.

Hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Fern Hill Family Farms also offers residents an opportunity to pick their own strawberries Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.,  Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Owners Jerry and Becky Hoffman are planning year-round activities at the farm including a Strawberry Festival, Pumpkin Fest, Halloween Harvest and Hayride, Holiday Specials, educational field trips for schools and group tours.
