Crews are also in the process of preparing 33 home sites for development in an effort to keep pace with the rising demand for new homes in this growing community on Bloomingdale Avenue and Watson Road in Riverview.

Taylor Morrison also announced the opening of two new model homes: the Spencer and Ashland models at 11207 Winthrop St., Riverview.

"We are moving full speed ahead here at Winthrop Village," said Cammie Longenecker, vice president of sales and marketing for Taylor Morrison West Florida, in a press release. "Home sales are brisk, customer traffic is up - everything is going well. This community has always had a special appeal because of its Traditional Neighborhood Design. The Amenity Center is going to be spectacular, and when it's finished, it will be a tremendous draw for potential homebuyers as well as a wonderful source of recreation and social activities for the residents."

As the centerpiece of the neighborhood's recreational complex, the Amenity Center at Winthrop Village will include a clubhouse with a state-of-the-art fitness center, furnished gathering room and a catering kitchen. Outside will be a resort-style swimming pool and spa with a nearby playground.

The Traditional Neighborhood Design concept seeks to re-create a small-town atmosphere while providing the conveniences of urban living. The curb appeal of the neighborhood is enhanced by eliminating street-facing garages and replacing them with alley-access garages.

The fronts of the homes are graced with wide lawns and shady front porches where neighbors can sit and visit.
