5 Things It Takes to be a Good Chamber Ambassador

Janice Miller, the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce's Ambassador of the Year, talks about the characteristics that make a good chamber ambassador. This is her fourth years serving as co-chairwoman of the Chamber Ambassadors.

1. "You have to go with the flow," said Janice Miller, Ambassador of the Year. "That's my motto."

2. "You have to be willing to attend ribbon-cuttings, networking events and other chamber events where you welcome new members."

3. "You have to have an understanding employer who's willing to give you the time off to attend events," said Miller. "My employer, SunTrust Bank, has been very supportive."
