The Main Event: A 'Rocky' Stage Performance

A community theater troupe stages the only matinee show of its two-weekend run of "The Rocky Horror Show." The March 27 show is the third of six shows scheduled.

The Frenzie Life Theatre returns to the stage with “The Rocky Horror Show,” with a matinee performance today, March 27 at 4 p.m. The adult-themed rock musical is on stage at the Barn Theatre at Winthrop.

Based in Brandon, the community theater troupe is known as one of the Tampa Bay area’s “edgier” acting troupes.

“Rocky” opened its six-show run March 25. Additional show dates are April 1 at 8 p.m. and midnight and April 2 at 8 p.m.

Tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for seniors, military and students with identification. Note, this is not “shadow theater,” meaning this is a live production and audience participation is not allowed. Also, this show is not recommended for children under the age of 13.
