TADA Dancers Study With Nationally Recognized Ballet Schools

Also from the Theatre Arts and Dance Alliance, show dates for "Beauty and the Beast" and audition dates for "The Nutcracker," at the TADA studios on FishHawk Boulevard in Lithia.

 

The Theatre Arts and Dance Alliance on FishHawk Boulevard in Lithia is congratulating eight dancers who are studying this summer with prestigious ballet schools, including the Joffrey Ballet.

Studying with the Joffrey Ballet are Isabel Provenzano, Stefanie Lebarre and Jesmen Grullon. With Modas Dance, Chelsea Reeves. With the Sarasota Ballet, Jenna Barry. With The Rock School, Jayden Capella. With Next Generation Ballet, Ainsley Basham. And with the North Carolina Dance Theatre, Annabel Fobert.

Also, TADA, in collaboration with the Progress Village Middle Magnet School of the Arts, will take to the stage with a Broadway Junior production of Beauty and the Beast. The show will be performed at Blake High School on Aug. 4, at 7 p.m., and Aug. 5, at 3 p.m., featuring performers ages 7 to adult. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Children under age 4 are admitted for free.

TADA, in collaboration with the Tampa Bay Dance Theatre, will be staging in December “The Nutcracker,” a holiday tradition. Auditions for the ballet, open to dancers communtywide, are scheduled for Aug. 25 at the TADA studios, at 16711 FishHawk Blvd.

  • Dancers ages 7 to 10, with at least two years of ballet experience, will audition from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Intermediate and advanced dancers, ages 11 and up, will audition from 1-3 p.m. Ladies on pointe for at least two years are asked to bring their pointe shoes to the audition.
  • Students with gymnastics and acrobatic experience will audition from 3:30-4:30p.m.
  • There is an audition fee of $25.
  • Performances are scheduled for the Riverview High School auditorium on Dec. 15 and 16.
