Save Big Sunday With $5 Day At MOSI

Special savings at MOSI on Sunday.

Five dollars doesn't buy much these days-- maybe a fast food meal or half a
movie theater ticket. But on Sunday it buys a lot if you go to the
Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI), 4801 E. Fowler Ave., Tampa. It's $5 Day on May 1 and that means big savings at one of the area's more
interesting attractions.

That price includes admission to the museum and access to all its
regular exhibits, including "The Amazing You" and "Kids in Charge!,"
among others. Many of the exhibits are interactive, so you're not just
walking and reading. It's educational and fun whether you're a child
or an adult, and there's enough to do to fill an entire day.

By itself, admission to MOSI for $5 is a really good deal, but the
special also includes an IMAX movie. If you've never seen one, you
should go just for that experience. It's very different from a
traditional theater and the perspective is impressive no matter where
you sit. Even if you've seen an IMAX screen at a traditional theater,
you'll want to check this one out and the special one-hour film made
for the screen.

If you've never been to MOSI-- or if you've been there many times--
you'll want to make this part of your Sunday plans. You can probably
take the whole family to the museum and an IMAX movie for less than
what it normally costs just one adult to attend. Regular adults
normally pay $21, and that's a fair deal considering everything you
can do there. But for $5, it's a no-brainer. And it's only good for one day, so bring the family and get there early.

MOSI is open on weekends from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. They recently
refurbished their parking lot, and it costs $4 per car. The IMAX movie
this weekend is "Born To Be Wild," which features orphaned orangutans
and elephants, and efforts to save them. For more information about
MOSI and $5 Day, call 813-987-6000 or visit www.mosi.org.
