Pets in View at Beaux Arts Gallery in Winthrop

The Beaux Arts Gallery at the Winthrop Town Centre in Riverview showcases in June artwork in recognition of National Pet Month. The First Annual Pets Art Show officially opens May 30, at this month's Thursday Night Live event.

 

In honor of National Pet Month in May, the Beaux Arts Gallery is offering a twist on its monthly Thursday Night Live art show, held the last Thursday of the month. Tonight, May 30, from 6 to 9 p.m.. Thursday Night Live will feature local artists' renditions of pets they have adopted from the Humane Society.

On display through June, the First Annual Pets Art Show has three sponsors: Veterinarian Mark Woodside, owner of Brandon Lakes Animal Hospital, in Winthrop Town Centre; Pet Supermarket, in Bloomingdale Square; and Publix, also in the Winthrop Town Centre.

Donations are welcome and will be given to the Humane Society.

  • Winthrop Town Artist Bryant Martinez, of Brandon
  • University of South Florida student Susan Sahab, an intern for the Winthrop Arts Collaborative
  • Nam Pham, of FishHawk Ranch
  • Don Robinson, of Brandon
  • Steve Muller, of Apollo Beach
  • Abby Markov, of Plant City

The opening reception will include light refreshments and cello music by John Mark Ligone.
