Luis Zamora Featured Artist at Beaux Arts Gallery

Zamora uses abstract and symbolism in his artwork.

Residents are invited to view the works of Brandon artist Luis Zamora who will display a variety of works Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. at the Beaux Arts Gallery at 11252 Winthrop Main St., Riverview.

"Luis is a local artist with a many-faceted personality, which his artwork depicts," said Beaux Arts Gallery curator Debra Bryant. "He uses a lot of abstracts and symbolism in his work, some of which are commentary pieces."

Zamora is currently on a European tour but invites art lovers to stop by the gallery to view his works.

In addition to exhibiting the works of Zamora, the Beaux Arts Gallery has put out a call to young artists to participate in its Small Works 2 juried youth competition.

The competition is open to all Hillsborough County elementary school children. This annual exhibit is based on the artistic vision and style of artist Marc Chagall. Visit the gallery's website for ideas on the style of artworks accepted.

The deadline is Nov. 9.
