Turning Trash into Yard Art

The Hillsborough County Public Utilities Department, in conjunction with the Hillsborough County Extension Service and the Hillsborough County Fair, is sponsoring the Fourth Annual Recycled Yard Art Contest to be held at the Hillsborough County Fair from Wednesday, Oct. 12 through Sunday, Oct. 16.

Entries must be delivered to the Hillsborough County Fairgrounds, State Road 60 and Sydney Washer Road in Dover, on Saturday, Oct. 8 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. or Monday, Oct. 10 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Entries must be accompanied by an entry form which includes the participant’s name, address, telephone number, etc.

This event is open to all county residents and all age groups. Entries must be created mostly with recycled or recyclable materialsa nd should be able to withstand the elements for outdoor display.
