The Newsome High School Band will host an indoor percussion competition Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. at Randall Middle School, 16510 FishHawk Blvd., Lithia. Drum line units from throughout the state will participate in the marching competition. Drum lines will be judged for their visual presentation and musical performance, with awards given to the top three in each class. Spectator admission is $10. Parking is free. Concessions will be available.
