Boyette Springs Fall Festival

Boyette Springs will host its annual Community Fall Festival Saturday, Oct. 22 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Boyette Springs Park east entrance, 10419 Deepbrook Dr., and at the west entrance, 10300 Sedgebrook Drive, across from Boyette Springs Elementary School in Riverview.

Featured entertainment includes the Billy Bob Steinberg Comedy Spectacular, Lowe’s Build & Grow, slot car racing and prizes with Checkered Flag Entertainment, balloon animals, Touch-A-Truck, fire engines, free pony rides, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit, carnival games and prizes, face painting, a coloring contest, goody bags for kids, an Ace Golf putting green contest, Baily's Bouncies' snow cones, popcorn and cotton candy, Drawing Point classes, paper airplanes with Dean Mackey, Al's Finger-Lickin' Barbecue, Crump & Conpany Caricatures for $5, fun with Purkle the Clown, Bruce Campbell, the fun weather expert, and bodybuilding tips from expert Mark Antonek. There will be raffles and more than 40 vendors as well.

In additions, there will be a costume contest at 1 p.m. Children are invited to color the Halloween coloring page on the homeowner association's website and drop it off at the festival welcome table by 1:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded in three age categories at 2 p.m.

There also will be community information available including child ID kits, disaster preparedness tips and insurance information. The CERT team will give demonstrations on making ice without electricity and use of fire extinguishers. Sam's Club will offer hearing and vision screenings.

Everything is free except food, caricatures and vendor goods that may be available for purchase.
